Abstract

Recently, transition to ferromagnetic order has been found with crystals of organic compounds not containing metallic elements. The process of the research is reviewed starting from the pre-stage study to obtain the designing strategies to bring out ferromagnetic interaction in organic crystal to the discovery of the ferromagnetism with p-NPNN. The recent study on the molecular system, in which the interaction between the pπ-conduction electrons and d-localized electrons plays a role in magnetism is also briefly described.
