Abstract

The effects of attrition on crystal size distribution in a continuous mixed suspension crystallizer were predicted by a Random Breakage model. The crystal size distribution was computed by Monte Carlo (MC) technique. The agreement between the simulated results and the deterministic solution of the population balance equation confirms the validity of the MC technique.
