Communicating Context and Strategy for Collaborative Design in Networks and Corporations

  • Conference paper
Methods and Tools for Co-operative and Integrated Design

Abstract

In this paper a theory on knowledge-fusion and -communication is presented to state the communication challenge of collaborative teams more explicitly. A reference framework for mapping and communicating context and strategy for design and innovation is proposed to face this challenge. Moreover, it will be argued that the benefits of mapping and communicating context and strategy are not restricted to collaborative design in networks. The mere process of mapping context and strategy helps to improve consistence and coherence of the development even if it is performed within a corporation.
