Abstract
An analytical model of the displacement of oil by a chemical solution from heterogeneous stratified reservoirs is constructed in this chapter. The viscous-dominated case considered in Chapter 3 is described in the greatest detail [87,159]. The quasi-two-dimensional problem has a self-similar solution, permitting Welge‘s method (Section 3.2) to be extended to displacement by a chemical solution and to obtaining the permeability profiles from displacement data.
