Abstract
In the “Schwäbisches Bildungszentrum” Irsee, Bavaria, an international workshop took place on “Mathematical Modeling for Flow and Transport Through Porous Media” during the week May 15–20, 1989. The major topics of the meeting were free and moving boundary problems, chemical and biological processes, structured media, multiphase flow, scale problems, stochastic aspects, and optimization problems Points of special interest were also hysteresis and parameter identification. The 57 participants carne from 14 different countries.
