Abstract

Human-induced activities related to greenhouse gas emissions from biological sources and sinks, that are currently not covered by the Kyoto Protocol. Example for additional BSS are selective logging and farming practices such as reduced tillage that lead to changes in soil carbon of agricultural land (for a comprehensive list of additional BSS see UNFCCC, 1998).
