Abstract
Manifolds with additional structures arise in practically all modern applications of geometry: the space-time continuum in relativistic theory, phase spaces and energy levels in mechanics, state spaces in hydrodynamics and theory of electric circuits. As an example, consider a geometric description of optical properties of a stratified media. We describe a position of a beam in the plane by two parameters α and x (Figure 1). An optical system determines a transformation (α, x) ↦ (β, y) (Figure 2).
