Chemical Interaction at the Initial Stage of Spreading

  • Chapter
Interfacial Science in Ceramic Joining

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASHT,volume 58))

Abstract

The kinetics of spreading at the initial stages in the binary metallic systems with the different character of interaction between components was studied in the wide temperature range. The influence of the intermetallic phase formation and mutual saturation of melt and solid substrate on the spreading process is analyzed.
