Global Consistency of Tolerances

Abstract

This paper deals with the design and development of a new quality control system for the CNC machine tool manufacturing system. The proposed quality control system can monitor product or part quality in a machining process, diagnose the system cause that relates to the unsatisfactory result in both autonomously and interactive mode, generate recommendation to take immediate corrective action through CNC controller, and automatically record all the results of monitoring diagnosis and recommendation in the database for the future diagnosis. The system consists of several functional modules. The functionality and structure of each module is discussed in detail in this paper.
