Abstract
An informed public is an important and integral part of firefighting and fire prevention. The purpose of information is to tell the public about forest fire causes and control. Incidental to this is the opportunity to inform the public of current fire dangers and the effect of fire upon forest areas. Another purpose is to stimulate cooperation of other protection agencies, volunteer services and the public.
