Abstract
Although our knowledge in this field somewhat progressed in the last 25 years, mostly as far as parasites of coccinellids are concerned, our conclusion (Hodek 1973) seems to be still valid: there is no tangible evidence of the impact of enemies on the population changes of coccinellids. This is particularly true in the case of predators, both vertebrate and invertebrate. Similar views were expressed by Frazer (1988) and Majerus (1994).
