Abstract
In this section we consider the Cauchy problem
Here
is an mth-order differential operator with constant coefficients (in the sequel H j (p′), p′ = (p 1 , ..., p n ) denotes the jth-order component of the total symbol of H (−∂/∂x)); X is an irreducible analytic set of codimension 1 in the space [x]; f and υ are analytic functions on [x]; the notation u − υ ≡ 0 (mod m) on X means that u − υ vanishes to the order m on the regular part X 0 of the set X.
