Eigenvalue Analysis in Flexible Multibody Dynamics Using the Non-Symmetric Lanczos Algorithm

Abstract

This paper presents the use of the non-symmetric Lanczos algorithm in order to solve the eigenvalue problem of a flexible mechanism around a determined configuration. The algorithm is implemented into the MECANO software which aims at investigating the behaviour of flexible and rigid mechanisms using the finite element approach.
