Abstract

Climate is only one of the many physical variables which impact life on Earth. Although humans have experienced the partial control exercised by climate on their economic activities and life style throughout the ages, investigations and wide development of theories on the relationship between climates and societies did not begin until the last several decades. This development gave climate a new perspective, which is being integrated into space and time organization of societies.
