Abstract

Historically, local climatology developed in response to increasing demand for agricultural production through agroclimatological knowledge (Yoshino 1987). The history of local climatology shows a close relationship to human interest in climate change in relation to landuse and land cover change in areas such as arable land, forest, grassland, and cities.
