Abstract
A partially ordered set A is said to be directed upward (downward) whenever for every two elements α1, α2 ∈ A there is an element α ∈ A such that the following relations hold simultaneously:1 α ≻ α1 and α ≻ -α2 (α ≺ αl and α ≺α2).
