A New Characteristic of a Quantum System between Two Measurements — A “Weak Value”

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Fundamental Theories of Physics ((FTPH,volume 37))

Abstract

New characteristics of a quantum system between two measurements — “weak values” are defined. It is proved that the “weak values” are outcomes of “weak measurements” which are standard measuring procedures with “weakened” coupling.
