Abstract
A model is proposed for the deformation of the Whitestone Anorthosite body within the Parry Sound Shear Zone. The least deformed part of the body contains relict igneous textures, a crudely-defined foliation and anastomosing shear zones. A well-defined schistosity and local, sea polite-rich shear zones characterize the moderately deformed portion. Mylonites occur along the sole plane of the shear zone.
