Abstract

During two summer season in 1990-1991 we made 17 dives with a submersible “Pisces” aimed at studies of submarine geology of the Baikal Rift. Observations were carried out by a team from the Institute of Oceanology, Moscow and the Institute of Geochemistry, Irkutsk. The main targets were the Northern basins of Baikal--and the Posol’skaya Bank. The submarine traverses were selected using single and multi-channel seismic profiles.
