Abstract
The methodological problems involved in inferring utility and rationality in empirical research will now be discussed in greater detail. In this chapter, I discuss experimental research, in next chapter nonexperimental research. In the discussion, reference is made to Model (3), that is, the nonnormalized and nonrelativized version of the model of choices regarding the commission of crime, unless something else is evident from the context.
