Abstract
The direct exposure probe mass spectrometry (DEPMS) procedure developed is briefly described and the capabilities of DEPMS in providing the molecular weight and the structural information for RDX and HMX, especially at trace levels, are compared with those of thermospray liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (TSLC/MS).
