Abstract
During the years, an indirect method has been developed as a convenient and easily operated diagnostics tool for surface wave sustained discharges (SWSDs): SW dispersion properties are used for determining the plasma parameters. An extension of the method, introducing test surface waves (TSWs) in the diagnostics, is proposed here. In a way, it is possible to gather dispersion data in a wide frequency range, and this can be exploited to increase the diagnostics accuracy and capacity.
