Abstract

The paper presents a novel signal processing scheme for the next generation Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver. In order to implement this scheme, a general purpose pseudorandom noise (PRN) code generator is proposed. It is shown that this scheme can be constructed with only a 30% increase in the number of gates over those required for the conventional Global Positioning System (GPS).
