Abstract
Many papers have treated dynamic problems of various electromechanical structures. However, most of these papers dealt with vibration problems, such as the detection and/or control of harmonic vibrations in various host structures by utilizing attached piezoelectric sensors and/or actuators [1]. On the other hand, there are a few papers that have discussed wave propagation in piezoelectric materials. For example, Wang [2] analyzed an isothermal problem of wave propagation in an electro-elastic structure, when the host structure was vibrated harmonically by means of attached piezoelectric actuators.
