Boundary value problems with the transmission property
Boundary value problems with the transmission property on a smooth manifold with boundary are the starting point of an iteration of calculi that finally yields the crack operator algebra in Chapter 5. Operators in such an iteration (of ‘conification’ and ‘edgification’ procedures) are used in parameter-dependent form. Also the algebra of boundary value problems itself is the edgification of its boundary symbolic calculus, where the boundary is the edge and the inner normal the model cone of the local wedge (the half-space).
