Abstract
Theories of organisation and management have tended to be based around models of convergence. In. the convergent view, the task of management is to pre-define an organisation’s tasks, develop a strategy and create organisational structures, process and technologies to support effective realisation of that strategy. In other words, a range of processes and resources are assembled in a time-based process of realisation of or convergence towards one or more objectives.
