Abstract

In the paper the thermal interactions between the single leaden particle and its surrounding (Al-Si alloy) are analyzed. In the domain of cast composite the control volume containing the leaden particle (a central part of this volume) and spherical shell (a metal matrix) are distinguished. The external radius of volume considered results from the fraction of particles in domain of cast composite. In a stage of numerical realization the boundary element method using discretization in time is applied. The basic algorithm concerning only the heating and cooling processes in non-homogeneous spherical domain is supplemented by the procedures which allow (on the stage of numerical computations) to take into account the course of melting and solidification processes.
