Abstract
This chapter presents a system that constructs multiple hierarchies automatically from a set of ground concepts and relationships, arranging the information in a Multi-AH-graph model. The system is called CLAUDIA36. It is capable of building “good” sets of hierarchies for a given set of ground interrelated concepts. How “good” is a set of hierarchies depends on its utility for performing certain operations. An instance of this system has been implemented in a mobile robot for navigation in a structured environment. CLAUDIA brings together the main contributions of this book in a complete, operative application.
