Abstract
Widely cultivated as a subsistence crop throughout Africa, the bambara groundnut is known by many other names such as earth pea, baffin pea, and Njugo bean. It is not widely known elsewhere, nor has it been accorded much research, although it is a very drought-resistant, widely adapted legume.
