Abstract
In the history of personal contacts of scientists and specialists of Russia and I believe of other nations working in the area of mechanics of machines and mechanisms was the convocation, and it was a landmark, of the first International Conference on the Theory machines and mechanisms in Varna, Bulgaria in September 1965.
