Abstract
Most deployable structures are designed as truss like structures consisting of straight bar members connected by rotation-free joints and/or pivots. However, for terrestrial structures subjected to the gravity load, wind load or inertia force due to earthquakes, moment frames consisting of beams, columns and connections with bending moment rigidity are often constructed. In the paper a key idea is proposed to make such moment frames foldable. A series of foldable rigid connection models will be discussed.
