Abstract
MOSIS is a low-cost prototyping and small volume production service for VLSI circuit development with a worldwide customer base. Since 1981, the service has fabricated more than 40,000 integrated circuit designs for use by commercial firms, government agencies and universities and it has served as the model for similar operations throughout the world. The present status of the MOSIS Service, current technology offerings as well as the status of the VLSI Educational Program will be discussed.
