Abstract
So far actions have been analysed from the point of view of defmition, explanation and interaction, and as elements in the theory of episodes. I shall now turn to a more thoroughgoing analysis of component 4 in the practical syllogism, viz. what in the following will be called a person’s practical possibility of performing an action.29
