Abstract
It is now more than thirty years since the Torrey Canyon incident first drew widespread attention to the problem of marine pollution from ships. This book reviews actions taken and results obtained in each of the recognised aspects of that problem in these thirty or so years, evaluates the positions now reached and presents proposals for future action.
