Abstract

The five different contributions to this section provide an overview of many of the key debates on the future development of adult and vocational education in Europe. In particular they focus on the role of education and training in developing new knowledge, innovation and jobs. This in turn leads to a need to question the relationship between technology, work organisation and education and training.
