Abstract

Sandwich plates and shells are being increasingly used in a variety of technical applications. Singly-curved sandwich panels appear to be inevitable parts of transport units and building constructions. In the course of industrial exploitation, sandwich structures are affected by different loads. Accurate knowledge of the deformation response to these loads and of the appropriate buckling limits is essential for obtaining a reliable and optimal structural design.
