Abstract

Precipitation of metastable and stable phases from Al-rich supersaturated solid solutions very often proceeds according to a nucleation and growth process. For its kinetic description, the classical Johnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogorov (JMAK) equation is available [see 1].
