Abstract

Secular period variations occurring in classical cepheids are of astrophysical importance since they are the result of structural changes in the star and a direct observational consequence of stellar evolution. During the preparation of a uvbyβ photometric catalogue of galactic cepheids (Arellano Ferro et al. 1997), important shifts were distinguished in the light and color curves maxima relative to standard ephemeris for the cepheids V572 Aql, AO Aur, AD Gem, DX Gem, AP Her, and BL Her. In this paper we report the new times of maximum, discuss the resulting O-C diagrams, and calculate the present periods of these stars.
