Abstract
The discussion in this chapter is based on a Middle French prose text from 1456 by Antoine de la Sale, Jehan de Saintré(Saintré or S). A summary of word orders is given below. Constructions that are attested but rare are in italics; the bolded constructions are new or have changed in status since the time of the Queste del Saint Graal examined in previous chapters.
