Abstract

A new approach to the problems related to the pre-convention history of Soviet chemical weapons (CW) has been developed. It is focusing on underwater disposal of home-made (Soviet) and captured (German) CW in the seas surrounding Russia and their burial; contamination of numerous territories due to producing, testing and stockpiling CW.
