Abstract
The elimination of mass destruction weapons, including chemical weapons, is one of today’s key problems. Enormous stocks of chemical weapons (CW) and the consequences of weapons production, testing, utilisation and destruction, among them dumping into the world’s oceans, present a serious threat to the environment and human health. Therefore, the problem of ecological safety measures connected with CW destruction is rather urgent.
