Abstract

Recent neutron interference experiments, based on the post-selection of narrow momentum states behind the interferometer, have shown that coherent wave packets remain totally coupled in configuration space, even when they become separated in ordinary space. Such non-overlapping wave packets in real space (Schrödinger-cat-like states) show a characteristical spectral modulation and squeezing indicating its nonclassical features. This shows analogies to EPR- experiments, with consequences for the debate about the non-locality phenomena of quantum mechanics.
