Abstract

The aim of this Chapter is to introduce the concept of erotetic implication. Erotetic implication is a semantic relation between a question, a (possibly empty) set of declarative formulas, and a question. Its definition may be regarded as an explication of the intuitive concept of the arising of a question from a question and a set of declarative sentences (cf. Chapter 1).
