Throughout the book, ℝn stands for the n-dimensional arithmetic space of points x = (x 1, x 2,..., x n ); |x| is the length of a vector x ∈ ℝn and 〈x, y〉 is the scalar product of vectors x and y in ℝn, i.e., for x = (x 1, x 2,..., x n ) and y = (y 1, y 2,..., y n ),
