Abstract
The solution of the discretized equations derived in ch. 6 will not be the same as the continuous one, but hopefully close to it. The question of numerical accuracy can be approached in a number of ways: analysis of the truncation error, experimental numerical convergence analysis and wave-propagation analysis for the linearized equations.
