Modified Decomposition

  • George Adomian
Part of the Fundamental Theories of Physics book series (FTPH, volume 60)

The modelling of physical problems can lead to ordinary or partial differential equations which are quite generally nonlinear. Examples include equations such as the Navier-Stokes equations in fluid mechanics, the Lane-Emden equation for stellar structure, nonlinear Schrödinger equations in quantum theory, soliton equations, etc.
