Abstract
The semi-structured interview format should encourage the interviewer to probe the response options endorsed by the informants. The items are based on a review of the literature and the source, on which each question is based, is indicated. Sampling of the relevant features of elective mutism ensures that the questions have content validity. The emphasis on content validity is consistent with the sample approach to assessment in behavior analysis.
