  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Advances in Agricultural Biotechnology ((AABI,volume 20))

Abstract

Induction of calli from leaf fragments of two cultivars of fuchsia (Constance and Swingtime) and regeneration of adventitious buds are attempted in order to detect and to use somaclonal variation to obtain artificial mutants. Desirable modifications are white flowers, new floral type and cold tolerance.
