On-Board Processing of Microwave Altimeter

- Numerical Simulation and Real Time Simulation -

  • Chapter
The Ocean Surface

Abstract

Microwave Altimeter is a useful sensor for the oceanic research. The feature of Altimeter is that it estimates and tracks altitude and other parameters on-board by using an on-board computer. The algorithm for this tracking, which uses MLE and MMSE, is studied in this report. As the result, the realization of the high accurate tracking by this algorithm has been verified.
