Abstract

Risks may, but need not be, encountered in discounting the possibility of error. There is always a possibility of error when one judges that one knows that p,but that does not mean that there is, in fact, always a genuine risk of error. Whether there is a genuine risk of error, and how great it may be, varies from case to case.
